Frequently Asked Questions

Q – How do I place an order?

A – To order, you must be registered and already be logged in to your account. On the main “My Account” page, scroll down the list of upcoming events, find your preferred event and click on the “Click here to place an order” link.

Then (1) review the details, (2) select a quantity, (3) apply credits–if any, (4) enter debit/credit card info and (5) click on “submit order”.

Q – I cannot find the “My Account” page

A – If you are logged in and cannot find the “My Account” page, simply navigate to the top of any page and click on the “View My Account” link.

Q – I cannot see events in a nearby state

A – If you are unable to see events in another state, click on the “My Regions” link on the “My Account” page, check the box next to any additional states in which you would like to see events and click the “Submit” button.

Q – Is the Zaycon Foods website secure for orders?

A – Our website has 256-bit SSL encryption, uses an SSL certificate verified by GeoTrust and is safe and secure for orders. In fact, we secure our entire website. You can verify this by checking that the browser/url address line begins with “https://” (the “s” stands for secure).

Also, during order processing, debit/credit card info is directly and securely handled by NPC, one of the largest processors in the US, and is never stored nor received on our website and database.

Q – Where can I learn more about Zaycon Foods?

A – To see an excellent overview of what we do—as well as to view a concise description of our referral program—please click here (opens a 2-page pdf brochure)

Q – What products do you sell?

A – We focus on a small number of commonly consumed food items, such as fresh meats and other products. Our fresh meats include chicken, beef, turkey, pork and fish

Q – Why would someone buy from Zaycon Foods?

A – Three reasons…

1) Quality: We only sell what we eat ourselves— high-quality, healthy food products
2) Price: Fresh, high-quality retail food products sold for wholesale prices
3) Customer Service: Exceptional service all along the way, from order to reminder to convenient, efficient pickup

Q – In what sizes do you sell your products?

A – When we bring in an order, we bring in a whole truckload. For this reason, we only sell by the case

Q – Do you compete with grocery stores?

A – Not at all. We have many friends and colleagues in the grocery industry and have nothing but the greatest respect for the value that grocery stores provide. Rather, we serve a different market with a unique model

Q – Is your service ideal for everyone?

A – Our service is not ideal for everyone. Because we sell product by the case, our customers must be willing to devote a certain amount of time and effort to prep and portion our products for consumption and storage

Q – How do you choose your event locations?

A – Our customers choose our locations. Given sufficient interest, we will be happy to consider scheduling an event in your area. We invite you to register your interest on our Locations Page.

Q – Is the chicken FRESH or FROZEN?

A – Our chicken comes fresh directly from the farm to our sales event and has never been frozen

Q – Are the chicken breasts boneless and skinless?

A – We offer boneless, skinless chicken breasts of exceptional quality

Q – Where does the chicken originate?

A – We purchase our chicken from the highest quality farms and processors in the country. Our chicken typically originates from processing facilities in southern and midwest states

Q – Can you describe the quality of the chicken?

A – Our chicken is 100% natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients

Q – What size packages can I buy?

A – We only sell our chicken breasts by the case. Each cardboard case weighs 40 lbs and includes four separate bags of chicken breasts, which are NOT always sealed and NOT uniform in weight.  The larger outer bag is sealed in the cardboard case.

Q – How many cases can I purchase?

A – There is no limit on the amount of cases you may purchase. We have had individual families purchase as many as 10 cases and groups of families purchase much more

Q – How can I store the chicken?

A – Most customers use some of the chicken fresh and freeze the rest. We strongly advise prepping and portioning the chicken into the sizes your family uses before freezing

  1. Bought cases and cases and need an alternative to freezing? Pressure can your meat. I have been pressure canning meat for a while. It’s completely safe if you follow all the guidelines that come with your pressure canner. I have two All American canners and can do 7 quarts each canner at a time. I just purchased a couple of cases of ground beef. (You have to cook ground anything first before canning. Chunks of meat can be placed in jars raw.) I cooked two 10# sleeves of the ground beef and then proceeded to fill the jars. I use a kitchen scale. Each jar takes 1# of the cooked ground beef. I save the juice/fat and divvy that up in each jar, then fill to the bottom of the neck with water. Lids. Rings. In the canners and process. It’s super, super easy. Seriously, a monkey could do it. How long does the meat last? I finally confessed to my kids that I fed them 7 year old chicken. They LOVED it!

  2. I am concerned with the avian flu issues. We just received our first order (through my son in law). Can you tell me how you are able to verify the chicken is safe? Thank you
